Coca-Cola announced plans to launch its NFT collection which will be named “MasterPiece” on Coinbase’s Layer-2 network, Base. This was announced by Coinbase on August 13 as part of their “Onchain Summer” series – an onchain festival that will feature art, culture, music, gaming, etc.
The Masterpiece Collection itself will bring together iconic art such as Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” and Johannes Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring”, as well as new works from their collaborations.
Coca-Cola’s move into the NFT space sets a new milestone for a major brand to take Base this far and opens the door for other brands to explore innovative ways to reach their consumers in today’s digital age.
