Italian luxury car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini has announced its collaboration with Animoca Brands to bring its supercars to the Web3 gaming ecosystem.
According to Lamborghini’s announcement on Wednesday (October 2, 2024), this partnership aims to launch Lamborghini’s new Web3 platform called Fast ForWorld, where fans, gamers, and car owners can experiment, play, interact, and collect digital collectibles while earning rewards for their participation. This platform will be integrated with Motorverse, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands that manages the digital vehicle ecosystem.
Players will also be able to buy, sell, own, and drive Lamborghini’s iconic supercars in various Motorverse games such as Torque Drift 2, REVV Racing, and Motorverse Hub. These cars will be available as interoperable digital assets, allowing access across various gaming platforms.
Launching Next Month!
The first version of the platform will be released on November 7, 2024, developed by Gravitaslab, a subsidiary of Animoca. The platform will feature a 3D wallet that enables users to store their digital collections, as well as interoperability features that allow interaction and gameplay using their digital Lamborghini cars.
To access Fast ForWorld, fans must acquire their first digital supercar, the Lamborghini Revuelto. This car serves as a key to enter the ecosystem and will be accompanied by the Fast ForWorld Genesis Capsule, unlocking various exclusive benefits both within and outside the platform. The Lamborghini Revuelto and Genesis Capsule will be available globally at the time of the platform’s launch.
The partnership between Lamborghini and Animoca Brands was first announced on August 8, 2024, as part of the automaker’s exploration and engagement in the Web3 ecosystem. This collaboration also continues Lamborghini’s efforts to explore blockchain-based projects.
In August 2022, Lamborghini partnered with NFT PRO and INVNT to release the Road Trip NFT featuring their iconic vehicles. This project, which ran until March 2023, showcased monthly NFT collections tied to various locations and was available for a limited time.
