Rumors are circulating that Microsoft is considering adding crypto wallet support for its next-generation Xbox game console, which may be released in 2024.
This is due to an internal Microsoft document leaked to the ResetEra forum that shows the Xbox roadmap in May 2022 includes adding crypto wallet support.
Although it has not been officially confirmed by Microsoft, there is speculation that the tech giant will capitalize on the growing popularity of crypto and web3 gaming. This will make interacting with Web3 apps and games easier and potentially outperform competitors such as Sony.
