WordPress Partners with DOGE Officially As a Payment Tool

Dogecoin (DOGE) is rumoured to have increased its usefulness and started to go from being a joke to being crypto that has good fundamentals.

Currently, there is a new adoption outside of technology updates, namely the adoption of Dogecoin as a means of payment for sites built with WordPress.

Dogecoin Adopted by WordPress

DogeDesigner, an individual responsible for UI/UX and design within the Dogecoin Foundation, has just announced the new adoption of WordPress.

He reported that there is currently a new plugin for sites built with WordPress so that users can use DOGE for transactions.

This plugin was created by developers from Dogecoin, making it easier for more than 445 Million sites built on WordPress to use WooCommerce for DOGE transactions on their sites.

It is said that this plugin is free for all site owners who build with WordPress and does not require a third party.

There will also be no additional fees outside the DOGE blockchain transaction fee, so all you need is a Dogecoin Wallet.  This plugin uses two APIs or Application Programming Interfaces to provide fiat value to DOGE and to issue QR Codes for easy payment.

Unfortunately, the response from the market has not been enthusiastic because, after three days of being available for use, only ten sites have used the plugin.

This situation is understandable because this technology is still relatively new and has not yet received full publication.  So, most Dogecoin lovers still don’t know or don’t have a site to support this new plugin.

DOGE Developments in 2022

This news is a continuation of several innovations for Dogecoin that have been published as a roadmap or plan for 2022.

Besides technology updates, DOGE has other adoption news that makes it even more useful as a crypto asset.

But what is more interesting is the community that continues to grow with more big business figures entering as DOGE supporters.  One of them is Jeff Bezos, who is seen following Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus on Twitter.

After being active again in 2021, Billy Markus managed to attract the attention of several big figures in the crypto world and the business world.

Even though he hasn’t officially adopted DOGE or been involved in anything related to DOGE technology, Jeff Bezos’ move is one of the positive sentiments. Because with Bezos, there is a possibility that more people will be interested in DOGE.

As of May 2022, Dogecoin’s plans are still going according to plan, with one of the plans being the move from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake.

The price is still looking strong with an appreciation of 11.76%, bringing it to recover after a significant correction on May 9, 2022. This appreciation is one of the strongest compared to most other cryptos, which are still recovering slowly.
